If you would like an 'enid blyton' holiday then Walberswick is the place to be. Walking and cycling take precedence over cars and life is very laid back here. Our apartment is within walking distance of two pubs, The Bell and The Anchor both serving good food and the village green is a hub of excitement with its tea and gift shops and swings for the little ones. The Crabbing World championships take place here every year and everyone is encouraged to practice all year round - just bring your string, fat and bucket - a great time for all.

You can walk or cycle to Southwold and to cut your journey down for a small fee you can be rowed across the estuary by the traditional hand rowed ferry.  Southwold harbour offers great fish and chips and stalls to buy the freshest of fresh fish.

There are many lovely walks and we are surrounded by marshes and bird santuaries and walkable to Dunwich, the village lost to the sea either by beach or through the forest.  In Dunwich you will find a small museum telling the story of the lost village.

Tennis courts can be found in Southwold and Golf courses at Southwold, Aldeburgh & Halesworth.

There are 5 apartments in Marsh End and we are the top floor with our windows  offering stunning views from the back and side of the property across the estuary towards Southwold.  Each room has a window and skylight providing us with an airy, light apartment.  The garden is communal with the other four apartments but there is an abundance of open space surrounding Marsh End with the beach, marshes and open green spaces for games, picnics, sitting and watching the world go by.   Plenty of room for bikes to be stored around the side of the house.
